Welcome to our Solo Mahjong review. Solo Mahjong is a single-player version of Mahjong, a classic Chinese game. The game is played by the Japanese Tenwa rules. You start the game of Solo Mahjong with a ready hand, which means you theoretically only need one hand to win, and you must choose the correct tile from the wall that will complete your hand.

Solo Mahjong Review: Getting Started

The wall consists of twenty-four face-down tiles. All you have to do is to left-click on a specific Mahjong tile to select it. Each player has 3 chances per round to get the right tile. You will be able to see how many picks you have left – this is displayed under the wall.

You will see your hand directly below the wall. To the right of this you will see the last tile that was picked. Above the last picked tile is a list of recently discarded tiles. When you choose a tile from the wall but don’t have a completed hand, a message – no hand – will be displayed on the screen. It is also possible to click on the tile if you want to discard it. After that you are allowed to pick another Mahjong tile. You get three chances to pick the correct tile before the round comes to an end.

Each of the following is considered to be a winning hand:
• Chee is a Solo Mahjong hand in which you have 3 tiles of sequential value and identical suit.
• Kong is a Solo Mahjong hand in which you have a set of 4 tiles of identical value and suit. Keep in mind that when you count your tiles, a Kong block counts as three tiles.
• Pair is a Solo Mahjong hand in which you have tiles of identical value and suit. You do not score any points for this hand.
• Pong is a Solo Mahjong hand in which you have a set of 3 tiles of identical value and suit.

Solo Mahjong Review: Controls

The game of Solo Mahjong is mostly played with your left mouse button but you can also use other keyboard buttons if you prefer.
• The enter button serves the same purpose as the left click button, in other words it selects the highlighted button.
• The tab enter button highlights the next screen button.
• The escape button allows you to exit the game and return to the lobby.

Solo Mahjong Review: Game Play

A standardized Solo Mahjong game has four of each suit of tile, which makes a total of 136 tiles. A winning Solo Mahjong hand has fourteen tiles. You will usually have thirteen tiles at any one time. You have to arrange these thirteen tiles according to their number and suit.

The object of the game is to match tiles. to make a match you must select two matching tiles that are not blocked from the right or the left. If you can’t select a tile, then it is blocked. When you make a match the two tiles will be removed. Most matches are made by selecting tiles with the exact same image on them. However, any fruit will match with any other fruit and any flower will match with any other flower. Remove all the tiles from the gameboard to win. Have fun!

Instructions:
